About Bluebell Stitch Co.
Bluebell Stitch Co. was created from a lifelong love of creativity, community, and the timeless art of needlepoint.
My mom first taught me to stitch when I was younger, but it wasn’t until after I graduated college in 2011 that I truly picked it up for myself. Once I started, I couldn’t stop. What began as a hobby quickly became something much more — a creative outlet, a way to unwind, and a source of joy for the past 15 years.
Needlepoint has always been more than stitching to me. It’s a chance to slow down, be creative, and step away from the constant pull of screens and everyday noise. It has also become something special to share with my two boys, ages 8 and 5, who love asking questions, exploring creativity, and being part of the process.
I’ve also always had an entrepreneurial spirit. Alongside a 15-year career in accounting and finance, I’ve carried the dream of building something of my own — something thoughtful, beautiful, and rooted in community.
Growing up on Cleveland’s east side, I saw firsthand how special it can be to have a local needlepoint shop woven into the fabric of a neighborhood. After spending the last 15 years living on the west side, I’ve felt there was room for that same sense of connection here: a welcoming place for stitchers of all levels, ages, and backgrounds.
That’s the heart behind Bluebell Stitch Co.
My hope is that Bluebell becomes a place where you feel inspired, welcomed, happy, and full of creative spirit — whether you’re picking up your very first canvas or searching for your next favorite project.
I’m especially excited to make needlepoint feel approachable and accessible to everyone, while bringing fun classes, events, and community experiences along the way.
Thank you for being here and for supporting this dream. If not now, then when?
I’m so glad you found us.
With gratitude,
Karen
